Team Option for Challenges

Create a team option for challenges such as the Workweek Hustle.  The team with the highest average wins.  Suppose you want to set up three teams such as:

  • (You) Captain Kirk, Bones, Spock
  • Captain Stubing, Julie, Gopher
  • Captain Dallas, Ripley, Kane

First, you invite the other captains (as captains), then you (and the other captains) invite your teammates (as teammates) like such:

Once everyone has been added, the leaderboard will sort the rank of teams first, then within teams, shows the rank among the teammates like this:

The chatter can be designated within the team or for the entire challenge.  The limits can be expanded to say 3 teams and 10 members within each team.

I think this is a great idea , too.Would one of the moderatorsame set up a oll for this so that we could vote on it. If there is one already would you let us know where to go, please!!!

I see the two suggestions have been combined. 

 

Now if you live in the USA there is the option to sign up at https://www.stepitupusa.org/ this is a 21 day Fitbit challamge and does allow teams.

This feature is needed badly. Hopefully, they add a survivor challenge mode whereas the person or team with the lowest step count at the end of the day gets eliminated.

Would love to see this happen. Teams are a great way to inspire people who may not be at an activity level high enough to win the individual challenges yet. Everyone is at different levels of fitness and the point of fit bit is to inspire and encourage fitness. Some people are coming from a lower level of inactivity and it would be so awesome to be able to work as a team to get them to first place once on a while. Please make it happen! Team work is so powerful.

Yes please!  My hubby and I are completing individually against another couple on the weekly step count but it would be even more fun and motivating if we could create teams.

I just contacted Fitbit through chat to see if this feature will be implemented.  We all need to do the same so they know it's high demand as per my convo with them.  It's easy, just go on chat with them...

This is a great idea.  Why is it taking so long? If there is some reason Fitbit can't or won't do it, the company should just state it cannot be done.

Currently if your in Canada or the USA, im not sure if it is in other locations,  the Adventure Challenges can be done in groups up to 30 people, and are fun.

Plus someone in the US or Canada can invite anyone.

Unfortunately teams right now are only available to corporate accounts.

Team vs. Team Mode It would be awesome to race against family with family! Everyone's steps would add to their team total, and at the end of the time period, the team with the higher step count would win!

Head-to-Head Mode What if two players with similar step counts are put against each other to see who can take more steps in that day? And everyone would get a Win:Lose ratio, and whoever has the highest Win-to-Loss ratio wins!

Elimination Mode Nothing drives people to work harder than the fear of elimination. It would be a normal race, but every 24 hours, the player in last place gets removed from the leaderboard. This process repeats until only one person remains. (People who have been eliminated should still be able to watch and send messages.)

 

So there you go, three challenge suggestions. They probably won't ever really happen, but it's an awesome thought! 🙂 What do you think? Leave a reply. Got an idea? Leave it below! 🙂
