Turn off quick view when I'm sleeping (or at customizable times) aka 'Night Mode'

I love the quick view feature however when I'm sleeping I tend to wave my arms around which activates the display which sometimes wakes me up, especially if my wrist is close to my face.

My fitbit knows when I'm sleeping as it tracks my sleep so how about having the capability to disable quick view automatically whilst I'm sleeping, in fact don't even have it as a selectable option just don't trigger quick view when my fitbit knows I'm sleeping.

I have the FitBit Charge 2.  I have disabled Quick View but a tap still wakes me up at night with the brightness.  Just adding to the list of people who agree that we need a setting to control this.  I love the sleep tracking feature but often won't wear my FitBit to bed because of the display brightness when it turns on.

+1 . It will be nice if it will automatically stop the bluetooth connection too....

I second night time dimming and would add also a checkbox for enable/disable displaying at all during sleep based on wrist movement. My Charge 2 lights op the room when I roll over, but does not display when lying on my back an roll my wristvto see the time...

I would love it if I could have more control over the brightness for daytime and night time. The brightness is not very child friendly when settling little ones in the middle of the night.

I always disable Quick view at night on my Blaze, but it lights up anyway and is disturbing enough so that I have considered not wearing it. I keep the brightness on dim, but it's still bright in the dark room. If we have the option to set time limits for activity monitoring, is it too difficult to add a schedule for the screen to not light up?

It would be great to have a feature to adjust the display brightness. This is a real problem when sleeping as the screen is too bright when it comes on. For a device that monitors sleep it is counter productive when it wakes you up.  A huge oversight in the new model of the Charge 2

I completely agree. There should absolutely be a nighttime feature to disable the lighting up of the display as a result of wrist movement. There is no better way to interrupt quality sleep than a bright light shining in ur face when you repositioning in your sleep and unintentionally move your wrist to light up the display.

I definitely think this is a good idea. I like quick view, but I turned it off completely because it kept waking me up in bed. I'd prefer to set scheduled times to turn it off myself.

Yes please! I like quick view, but I ended up turning it off because it woke me up occasionally.

I would love this functionality as well! At this point, I won't be wearing the FitBit to bed.

@PtboMiss quickview only turns off the trackers ability to turn on wroth a twist of the wrist,  a double tap or a push of the button will still actuate the screen.

Another thing to remember is twhen making any changes to the trackers settings,  a sync week be needed to load the new setting into the tracker.

This would be a great feature to turn off quick view at night automatically. This has been suggested for a long time...when might this feature be added???

Please allow us to be able to adjust the brightness. I love my new charge 2 but the screen light has been waking me several times a night Cat Frustrated

Agree. The tracker can tell when we're asleep, so during that time the brightness could be reduced.

Notifications can be turned off at night using the Do Not Disturb setting on your phone. I like being able to see the time at night if I need it, so don't want it to shut down completely at night. But it would be nice if the display could dim while sleeping.

I second the idea of having the wrist glance disabled at selected periods.

My husband flashes me in the night, but not in the way you are thinking.  Please add a Do not disturb feature with a timer.

Please,

Will we have low light at night and very low light during target scheduled sleep in the screen of Charge 2.

I also agree. To turn the screen off automatically during sleep hours would be ideal.

Please add this feature. I have resorted to taking the Fitbit off at night now.

The  fitbit is hard to read in day light . Need  to have  adjustment  for light .

I agree with you. However, even though the best thing would be an auto-switch on/off whilst sleeping and waking, just like you said; a halfway point there could be adding an on/off switch setting on the wristband, just like the alarm is.

I also agree that it would be handy being able to set a brightness level that applies during the time window one has configured for nightly sleep. Maybe right at the screen where sleep hours are set 🙂

Reading the display in bright sunlight requires to shade the screen with the other hand, and still this is not always enough. The possibility to swap to a reverse display (with readings in black on a white background, if that makes sense) may solve this issue.

I also agree that the display is far too bright at night time.

So please, consider adding a display brightness adjustment feature.

I just got my FitBit Blaze this fall after my FitBit One died, and while I LOVE the Quick View during the day, my husband and I have also gotten irritated with it lighting up in the middle of the night.

I'm rather disappointed that this suggestion was posted July 2015 and it still hasn't been implemented more than a year later. I would love it if it automatically deactivated when I was sleeping or if I could attach it to my "bedtime hours" schedule. My phone in DND mode takes care of the notifications, but not the light!!
