Turn off quick view when I'm sleeping (or at customizable times) aka 'Night Mode'

I love the quick view feature however when I'm sleeping I tend to wave my arms around which activates the display which sometimes wakes me up, especially if my wrist is close to my face.

My fitbit knows when I'm sleeping as it tracks my sleep so how about having the capability to disable quick view automatically whilst I'm sleeping, in fact don't even have it as a selectable option just don't trigger quick view when my fitbit knows I'm sleeping.

Agreed!  Please vote/comment here on my post as well, if you have time:

Many people have been asking for a feature like this for months and sometimes years across many forum threads.  Also, I encourage you to contact their support staff about the issue.  Good luck.

Agreed!  I am glad to see this post has so many votes, but at the same time dismayed that Fitbit still hasn't added the feature despite the request's popularity.

Please vote/comment here on my post (for the same feature) as well, if you have time:

I use my Charge 2 to track my sleep every night but I move around a lot in my sleep. I find when I move around my Fitbit seems to think I'm raising my arm to see the time and the screen goes on really bright and wakes me up. There should be a quick setting on the menu where I can turn the fitbit onto night mode and during that time the "raise to see the time" feature is shut off and you have to push the button in order to see the time.

I have a Charge HR 2 and I love the sleep tracker, however I don't always remember to turn off "Quick view" before falling asleep. It would be great if Fitbit could develop a way to turn that off automatically as soon as it detects you're sleeping- so that I don't always have to remember to turn it off and on. Seems like it would be easy to implement!

This is a must have, the light can wake up both my partner and I. Plus we both have one so it doubles the interruption!

I agree!  Night mode needed!!

Same here. There could be a "Don't activate screen on arm movement between XXh and YYh" configuration.

Yup nice idea

The light should NOT be so bright

Same here should be a night mode

I agree. I have to wear my sleep eye mask to keep it from waking me up, otherwise every rollover wakes me up with the bright light from my fitbit.

Absolutely! I agree with rfdomingos...I'd like to see a setting where I determine the hours that quick view is disabled. I don't want to have to select something each night...just want it automatic. Since many people sleep at different times, I feel it should be user dictated!

Please give us a night mode!!

It would be great if we could have this on other Fitbits with screens.

my wife wants to return the charge2, because she wakes up from the light during night.

I suggest, that one can
- either set sleep/wakeuptimes

- or the tracker dedects it by itself, as it knows it from the sleep analysis anyway

As a urgent solution, you can stick a sticker at night

Agree, I try to sync b4 bed and 1st thing in the morning, JUST to turn quick view off and back on. Real pain, especially when I forget. Moved to Charge 2 from Blaze. Love the Charge, but Blaze could at least turn quick view on/off from the device without syncing. Scheduling times would make so much more sense.

Our allow you to schedule turning off/on quick view. I go to bed at avoid the same time every day.

I'm not a fan of sleep stages.  I wish there was a way to turn it off back to the previous sleep tracker.

There should be a brightness setting or the tracker's brightness should be adjusted based on the target sleep/wake times setup on the profile.

Thanks. I did try that for a while and it does work, but it is a pain and I still just take it off now. Why in the world FItBit doesn't fix this is beyond me. I will never buy another nor recommend it. I hate it! I hate the fact they ignore this blog. I have called support twice and got into an email battle with them because they kept sending me back to the blog and responding with standard letters. Finally they responded with a more personal note but then went off on how they have to develop a new model to sense ambient light. Man they are ignorant. If you can set time to track your 250 steps an hour WHY can't you set a time to turn the light off.
