View SpO2 % in app and don't require SpO2 clock face selection during sleep to capture %

The SpO2 clock face has to be selected during sleep to view actual SpO2 % range and avg value in morning. Devices that support SpO2 DO collect the data since it shows up on a sleep graph. It's just the value doesn't appear. This is such a silly implementation. Just show the value in the app and clock face regardless of the clock face during sleep.

Buy one of them then and send your Fitbit back for a refund

You are missing the point. I like the Versa2. But when Fitbit adds a feature, it should work as well as our better than the cheap throw-away watch/trackers.

Understood.

FYI,weeks after Fitbit got my sleep monitoring partially functioning
again,it no longer works.

And that's another problem. I find that I constantly have to reboot the watch to get sleep data to show up, and when I wear the SpO2 clock face to sleep, it takes an hour after I awake for the data to show.

My Versa stopped logging sleep altogether (before that it would only log a
few hours of it). At the time, techs had me disconnect it from the account
and reconnect it. It resumed the partial logging, then over a week ago
stopped altogether. You can tell it's not checking SPO2 because the
battery doesn't drop as much as it would.

I agree. One has to remember switching back and forth. Not sure who came up with this silly idea and FitBit accepted and implemented it. Very poor. During this pandemic, SPO2 could evaluable feature if implemented properly. I bought Versa 3 assuming that it might have better SPO2. alas.

I support the original poster. In addition, I would strongly urge that the SpO2 % be made more easily available. Having to change the clock face to access the SpO2 data is extremely awkward and unfriendly.

Same reason why I bought my Versa. And I can't even get it to properly
track my sleep, let alone reliable give me SPO2 during sleep, and I badly
need the readings during the day as well.

@pbug56 none of them record SP02 during the daytime

I know. The great Fitbit mystery.

In recent days I have been sick and have had to keep my finger clip with
me.

SPO2 should be available on demand as number on the clock face for every model that collects this data, not just the "smart" watches. It also needs to be added to the PC dashboard,  The current graph with no numbers is useless. Knowing you are in the green range means nothing. No info on what that range even is. And why is it tied to sleep? What if you want to know your SPO2 at a point during the day? during exercise?

AddyRazz

@davidf0748 it has a chart and the SP02 percentage given as a number, at least on my app it does.

@AddyRazz  you must have the premium service. My app only shows a graph with no numbers (I don't have premium).

And don't bother getting the premium version. It's no better.

@cogirl303 You don't need premium to see the % numbers on a chart. The restoration chart that you showed is identical to how it looks in premium. That chart is in the sleep details, but the chart with SPo2 % numbers is in the Health Metrics section in the app's main dashboard. The Health Metrics chart is identical in basic and premium except that you get to see a full month of data for premium vs 1 week with basic.

I agree that we should be able to see the results under today.  This is an important metric that should be front and center.  Also agreed that it should be able to be tracked regardless of the watchface.

I agree.  In fact the only reason I just bought a Sense is for SpO2 as its a new feature.  Then I am told both the clock face and app are not available in my region (Hong Kong), so I cannot see the result at all, even if there is a sensor on the device.  Which makes the advertising that led me to buy this misleading.  All I can see is oxygen variance in the sleep record, not an SpO2 reading - just 'high' or 'low' variance.

Hi everyone, and thanks for sharing this suggestion. We’re very happy to let you know that this has been released on our Fitbit Sense and Fitbit Versa 3. The SpO2 Tracker app will allow you to track your SpO2 data while you're sleeping and see in the Health Metrics tab on the Fitbit app. Note that you'll need to install a clock face from the SpO2 category to see an on-wrist SpO2 value. To more find more details, see this help article or check the Fitbit SpO2 User Manual.

@mbarylski, in recognition of your excellent suggestion, each of your votes will now count as 5 votes – you have the power! Thank you for sharing this idea, and thanks to everyone who voted and commented for your enthusiasm which has now materialized for everyone’s benefit. We hope you all enjoy this new addition to the Fitbit product or service!

So LizzyFitbit, Fitbit teases us with the SpO2 availability, then we have to download a stupid clock face, then we find that the only data available is an average during sleep. Then you tells us that we can get more data on the Premium app, but that data is worthless too. Then they tell us the good stuff is not going to be available on the Versa2 and they we have to buy a Versa3. That's why I'm ditching my Versa2 going with a cheap Chinese Smartwatch that has instant access to SpO2 data 24/7 with no special clock face, and under $100.00. Color me disappointed.

Is this some sort of bad joke? I have a Versa. Plus why the need for a
clock face to collect data? And why still no real tome spo2 display?

Count me too, definitely need to track SPO2 levels and how they fluctuate within the app- I was sold on this point when purchasing product if i knew this was the limit to what i was getting i would of just stayed with my versa
