Weekly Report: Add Cals In Vs. Cals Out

I just noticed that Fitbit has changed the style of the emails for Weekly Progress Reports, and this change has removed some of the information I find most useful. This information being the "Calores In vs Calories Out" tile.

As such, is there anywhere in the new format that allows me to access the information that used to be shown under "Calories in VS Calories out" in the old format?

If not, please incorpoate this tile again - it is the most useful one!

Separate totals for cals in and cals out were always part of the weekly report figures until Fitbit removed it in May 2017. The matter was raised by a number of users at that time and have continued to do so for the 6/7 months. All the information is held by Fitbit so it is not a major problem to add to the weekly report

Fitbit team have all moved to apple i think, and no one has turned off the light. When my customers ask me about buying a fitbit, i just say they should really consider a better product. I doubt these people at fitbit realise that some of their customers ( now ex customers) are salespeople who used to recommend their product and now no longer do.

Hey all - I've noticed that Fitbit has indeed put this back into their android app. See screenshot. It's in the 'food' tile portion of the app.

I have a charge2 linked to a Samsung / android phone. To me, fitbit's sweet spot is in the heartrate, steps, activity, energy (calories) expended monitoring and reporting areas. And they seem to be exceedingly good at this.

For monitoring calories consumes, MyFitnessPal is the best app out there for that. So, I use MyFitnessPal to track the calories that I eat, and have linked the MyFitnessPal app to the fitbit app, and it works really well in that they share their information back and forth. Another nice perk of using these two high quality apps is that with the MyFitnessPal app then is able to know my calorie burn level and adjusts my caloric intake goal appropriately for the day. Very cool and useful when trying to manage caloric intake relative to caloric burn.

So maybe quit hatin' on the fitbit gang so much...

Hopefully enough comments for Fitbit to reinstate reporting both cals in and cals out totals in the weekly reports

I was very disappointed when Fitbit deleted calories in vs calories out in
Dec. 2016. However, I do continue to receive my weekly reports, sans the
above info. I didn't receive it for the week ending Dec. 10 and emailed
Fitbit. My report has now been received. This happened a few times when I
first got the device, but this was the first time in way over a year that
it was not received. Maybe you should consider contacting Fitbit, and give
them an opportunity to remedy this "glitch". Just a thought.☺

I have contacted fitbit direct via email and via their live webchat. Their response was to join this fitbit forum to raise the issue and generate a response

I'm voting for this suggestion.  I'd like the calorie deficit back in my weekly report.

Please do this!

The food log currently provide an average of calories-in for a week. For many of us understanding our delta between calories in and calories out is useful to get to our weightloss goals, please add an option to display is as well (including graph).

Please send average daily calories consumed with weekly email report. This is such an obvious data point for anyone using the Fitbit for weight control.

Can you please please please add calories consumed to the weekly progress report? As a bonus, add Calories In vs Calories out to the weekly progress report.
