Allow us to move or delete Cardio Load prompt

There is a new Activity called Cardio Load on my home page and I cannot move or delete it. I don't care about it. I want to see my Steps on the top of the list and now I can't see them because of this new Activity and the size of my iPhone mini. This is ridiculous.

Imagine, if you will, someone who wasn't interested in their sleep score, and had arranged their information on the app so as not to see it. But everyday they get a message about their sleep score,  telling them they've been under sleeping and that they need to do better, or that they've been sleeping too much and need to get up and do something.  If you were stressed and not sleeping would a message from your fitbit telling you that you need to sleep better help? Nope. So why is it acceptable for people who don't find the cardio load feature helpful or relevant to them have to have daily messages about a feature they are not tracking. Messages that often contradict each other are received in close succession.  This has been going on for months and I can see from this thread that many users are fed up with it and, like me, don't understand why it hasn't been dealt with yet.

Please fix it so Target Load Suggestions can to be permanently turned off. They are unwanted and shaming and absolutely incorrect. Everyday!  Incorrect suggestions.

The mechanics of the comments are also broken. There is a little X to close the comment and it doesn’t work.

They want to continue selling watches so they won’t say they have no plans of “fixing” the problem. Leave a review in your respective App Store so people are aware of what they’re buying into, which is: zero tech support.

I can't stand the cardio load prompts! It's so disheartening to keep being told how bad I am doing even though this is not my goal at all. It makes me want to get rid of Fitbit altogether because I can't stop it. The only thing that's keeping me is that I can keep deleting all of the CC ardio data and make the alerts stop for a while. Please give me the option to turn this off and stop telling me I am under training unless I really am

I haven't seen the prompt for at least a few days now. I'm not sure if something fixed it in the latest update but hoping this doesn't jinx it.

The lack of prompt was a glitch. It was there this morning, likely summoned by sharing there was a chance it was gone.

Please make these notifications optional. As someone trying to workout with chronic illness, it goes against everything I’m trying to do to heal. I have to listen to my body/energy not a data bank. After months, I managed a 10k walk and was so proud of myself, only to be told by my Fitbit that I was under training the next day. It’s demoralising, insulting and potentially dangerous.

Nah, pretty clear Fitbit isn’t paying attention to this thread. It’s been going on long enough that they would have done something by now. Someone will kill themself trying to live up to Fitbits expectation of maintaining fitness and they’ll be like, oh no, if only we’d known this was going to be a problem, if only somebody had spoken up about what a **ahem** prompt we forced on everyone.

Please at least give us the option to remove the “ready to hit your target” popups from the app.

  • I can only agree with others - at first I found the cardio load notification mildly amusing, since it seemed to alternate daily between "undertraining" and "overtraining" warnings. However, once I realised that I couldn't get rid of it, it really began to annoy me as it's both irrelevant and intrusive. I set my own goals, based on my own situation, and do not want a fitness tracker to attempt to dictate to me based on some general algorithm. I will change to a different brand if this continues.

It's really sad, but the evolution of Fitbit is almost a  textbook example of how to kill a formerly successful product.  I have a Charge 6, purchased after my Charge 5 died.  I wanted a fitness tracker, not a trainer.  Sure there were issues with some features like the number of laps being far less than accurate, but I stayed with Fitbit because  the information it tracked was useful and it was fun.   I laughed when I got the Japan badge almost exactly two years ago for walking 3007 km.  I often drank another glass of water and the end of the day to hit a target that I had set - and I liked the little reminders "you must be parched", or "so close, you can almost taste it".  The quips are gone,  the current marketing team seems to want to align Fitbit with their perceived competition rather than recognizing Fitbit's unique appeal.  I already have a Garmin 840 for cycling, and I'm debating another device for swimming - I don't expect Fitbit to deliver everything that a much more expensive watch would provide.  I also don't want it to try and be my coach, my trainer, and I certainly don't want it giving me irrelevant, inconsistent and potentially destabilizing cardio load messages that have nothing to do with my actual objectives and physical condition.  I just want a useful, fun tracker that can provide other services (premium) if I want them - but that doesn't try to force me to use them.  In the case of cardio load, it's irrelevant and  incompatible with both my lifestyle and my current physical condition.  Not being able to opt out means that my Fitbit is no longer a positive element in ensuring my well being and so I've started looking at the alternatives - again, it's so sad to see a great little tracker lose its way.

I am 62. 63 tomorrow. I have been wearing my fitbit since 2019. I tried to achieve my goals which I have managed every day but since the cardio fitness challenge every day asking me to achieve 60 to 90 points it is getting too much. Last night I decided to remove my fitbit from my arm because it was not healthy anymore and there is no way to remove it. It can set a dangerous pattern for people like me always trying to get the goals.

I've just lost a chat with fitbit where I was asking for clarity and communication on this issue, since we've gone so long with absolutely nothing back from them. (the rep asked me to check something in the app and I got booted from the chat).

Anyway, I've been waiting over 6 months for action. Multiple comments here. Multiple feedbacks sent. And now this chat with customer service where Drian said I should leave my comment /feedback in the community forum! Gosh! What a great idea Drian. Because I and over 500 other users haven't already thought of that!

I'm tired of the contempt. I'll be moving on permanently to another tracker. One without association with fitbit or Google.

I know how you feel, I've had the same message popping up for last week
saying I'm not doing enough. I would say listen to your body , you know
when you need to rest and hard though it is ignore the message.
Keep smiling 😃

It's obvious at this point that Google has completely driven Fitbit into the ground. There is nothing Fitbit does that was not better before Google acquired it. It almost feels like they're trying to kill it on purpose.

Watch them come out with a Google Watch. Mark my words.

I agree with every comment here. This message is like gaslighting. I will work out hard and the next day, it tells me to slow down. The next day. I slow down, and the following day, it tells me I'm at risk for undertraining.

I'm so proud of the work I'm doing, and I've improved so much. These messages are disincentivizing, not motivational. They're nagging and annoying.

Fitbit needs to check out the Finch app, where you are encouraged and never discouraged with negative feedback. I don't need another Boomer mother trying to shame me into conforming to her wishes.

Well, I thought I'd just be able to ignore it , but this morning I had 3 cardio messages pop up.

1 : You have been over training recently take it easy today.

2: You are on target with your training.

3: We have recalculated your cardio load score  from 0-147 to 0-157 this will help you remain on target for improvement.

Now I'm fed up ,get a grip Google and sort it out

I do not want to deal with cardio load. It is not valuable to me at my age. When I remove it from the screen however I still get messages about recommended cardio load for the day. I click the x on the message to remove it. Yet when I go back into the app later they display again.
Please remove these messages when cardio load is not displayed

I agree with everyone else. This feature is annoying and condescending. I want you be able to choose when to increase cardio, if I want to, are the moment I am injured and cannot do any high impact training so my cardio load target is never being achieved and is getting higher every day. Please make us able to turn off the distressing target pop up. It's not helpful to see how I am underachieving each time I open the app!
