unlock SpO2 API to allow realtime access to what could be an incredible feature

I bought this watch specifically (requested as gift) because it listed SpO2 as an available sensor. Had I bought it myself I would have already returned it as false advertising. I dont even see it as an available API for development. Allow me to use it please. I take responsibility for my actions.

Hello @Mupshot

There is already an almost identical suggestion that is locked as Not Currently Planned.

My experience says that you can easily remove the word "currently"

I am a board certified sleep specialist, and I cannot recommend your device because of the lack of this function, even though it will give some data restricted to sleep only. I have brought my second device for testing and I think that I will return this one as well because you do not allow spontaneous measurements of spo2. You have the necessary hardware and software and I do not understand why you have chosen to not give users access to spontaneous measurements. This is available nearly every competitor product, including those available for under $50 on Amazon. It is my recommendation that people measure their oxygen  saturation when they were having symptoms such as shortness of breath, chest pain or lightheadedness. It is understood that this is not a medical level device, but it does have the capability of doing a measurement, even if not calibrated. Currently I am recommending that none of my patients purchase FitBit devices as there are better alternatives for monitoring health in the marketplace.
