I've put together a small proposal on how to allow native apps to communicate with the watch in a crossplatform fashion.

Done. Something like this would work well for me. My current project requires users to prepare stuff on a web site, and then pull it into the companion via a 'setting' button on the companion. This is rather cumbersome and confusing. A direct push from web site to companion would be much cleaner.
