Can you only develop apps/clock faces for Fitbit Iconic?

ANSWERED

Hi, I was wondering if I'm able to develop apps for my Fitbit Charge 2 through Fitbit Studio? Or if there is another way I can develop apps for my Fitbit Charge 2?

I don't work for Fitbit so take everything I say from here as speculation; but I am fairly certain that older fitbits will not have any sort of development environment. I do believe that there will be future fitbits running fitbitos and  therefore the ability to third party applications. They have stated that you should use percentages rather then specific pixel locations where ever possible. This hints that there are devices with different screen resolutions in the pipeline.

The Fitbit Ionic is the only Fitbit that currently allows for third party development. There is no way to write applications or watchfaces for other Fitbits.

Thank you for your response, are there any plans to bring other Fitbit's into the third party application development world?
