Charge 2 not Fitbit OS clarification

I'm new to fitbit and just realized that the Charge 2 is not a Fitbit OS device, so the SDK doesn't work with it.  Right?

 

Perhaps someone could clarify https://dev.fitbit.com/getting-started/ that not all Fitbit devices are Fitbit OS devices?
