Classic/offline development environment

Hello, I started with some development for my new Versa, but it's pretty annoying to have to use this Fitbit Studio - I miss a real IDE and feel limited and not productive.

Also there doesn't seem to be any versioning? I'd like to use git like for normal projects.

Is there some plan to be able to develop on my computer instead of offline?

Seeing it on a roadmap is promising. I know it's annoying question, but is there a ballpark estimate of when it is coming? In a month, in a year?
