Create a custom charging icon

I made a clock facet where you can see the battery levels as an icon. I wanted to make the battery icon show when its charging. The problem is that there's a Fitbit default charging indicator that is floating on top of my battery indicator when I start to charge.

Is there a way to hide or override the default behavior?

No. Your best bet may be to rearrange your layout to put your battery indicator where the built-in one appears, and to hide your indicator when the battery is charging or low.

Maybe this is to simple of an approach, but if you only want your battery icon to show when it is charging, why fight the default set by Fitbit? Couldn't you hide your percentage when it is charging and then show it when its not?

As Catplace has already pointed out, there is no way to override the behavior. Think about changing your battery icon to match the size and position of the default behavior. It would then appear more seamless to the end user....
