Custom application icon is not displayed on the Charge3's notification screen

ANSWERED

Every factory application (GMail, Messenger, etc) seems to transfer its icon to the Charge3 upon notification. (i.e. the GMail icon is displayed on the tracker's screen along with the notification)

What is the required icon size for a custom application (Android) to get it displayed?

(I tried with 'Fake Notifications' which creates notification which you can customize but the icon is never displayed.)

I would need some technical guidance, so this might not be the best topic to post this. In this case please move it to somewhere it belongs more.

Thank you.

Unfortunately, the icons are actually stored within the firmware and not downloaded dynamically.

Hello,

I'm using Android (8.0) and Charge 3. Every time when I receive notifications from common services (Gmail, Facebook, messenger) their icon is displayed on the Charge 3.

However I have some own-developed application which are not able to pass their icon to the Charge 3.

Also, I installed 'Fake Notifications' application, which posts custom notifications and these icons are also not displayed on the Charge 3. What is the design rule to display the notification icon on the watch?

Thank you.

Hey @danergo, it's great to see you around.

Can you please be more specific about the issue you are experiencing with your tracker? Which notifications icon would you like to see?

Hope to hear from you soon. Smiley Happy

Hello,

Yes, sure.

I'm developing a custom application on Android and it has its own icon which is shown when it posts a notification. However, this icon is NOT displayed on the Charge3.

Notification icons for GMail, Messenger, etc are displayed correctly, however my custom application's one is not.

Also, I installed 'Fake Notifications' application.

(This app creates you customizable fake notifications for test purposes.

You can chose icon, text, actions, buttons etc for this 'test notification'.)

These notifications' icons are also not displayed on the Charge3.

To be exact: I want my own application to be able to post notifications with icon that is also transferred onto the Charge3. How can I achieve this?

Thank you!

May I get some reply to this?

I have more than one topic which left unattended for weeks or months!

It's too shame.

@danergo  your posting in the hardware help board and asking a question about developing an application.

In general we so not understand what development, that is why I suggested posting your question to there forum about developmenting an app.

Would you like me to move your post to a place that someone should be able to help with?

I also combined your 2 threads that are asking the same question, but it is still where an answer will not be received.

We have the

Okay, thank you.

Could you tell me what is the usual turnover time in this thread for an issue? Will it be fixed in the next couple of days/weeks/months/years?

I'm waiting for so long for this to be done. Thank you
