Developer Bridge Problems

I have a Fitbit ionic and I am having trouble connecting to the developer bridge and wifi network in my Fitbit app on my home network. I can clearly see the phone is connected to the network but when I go to connect to the Fitbit app wifi to my wifi I can't see the network. When I go to connect the phone to the developer bridge it connects just fine but when I try the Fitbit Ionic it won't show up anymore on the device list. Any suggestions?

I recently had trouble connecting to the developer bridge at home. I was wondering if this has anything to do with the wifi connection in the app and if so my wifi settings won't show up in the app. Has anyone else had this trouble?

There's a problem with the simulator at the moment. You can try this workaround, or use a real device. https://community.fitbit.com/t5/SDK-Development/Simulator-SSL-Problem/m-p/5003314#M16156

Hi, @JonFitbit -  Is there a way to get a fix for both Fitbit Studio and the OS Simulator via a new version? Currently can't test any changes.

I'm not aware of any issues affecting Studio, just the simulator which you can use the workaround for, or a real device.

@JonFitbit-  Fitbit Studio stuck in perpetual  "Here we go checking login.."

Not seeing that here. Can you make a new thread with the details. Which OS and browser, if there are any error messages in the developer console.

Thanks

@JonFitbit- fixed Studio - you are right not a general issue - had to delete cache data for the Firefox browser itself. Something odd happened when it asked for cookies.

Thanks for getting back, as Studio is fixed, can use a real watch instead of the Simulator.

What exactly is the work around for the Simulator [I'm not using chrome]? or will you be releasing a new version of the Simulator with a fix soon?

The simulator workaround is just to copy the updated certificate to the correct location. https://community.fitbit.com/t5/SDK-Development/Simulator-SSL-Problem/m-p/5003314

We're still trying to get an updated version of the simulator, but there's an issue which is blocking this at the moment.

Thanks Jon, for the info and transparency, appreciated.

Could you please mention a bit more how to go about copying the certificate on a Windows 10 PC with Firefox as the main browser.

I get a 404 when accessing the site mentioned, so where does one get the certificate and where does one put it that makes the OS Simulator happy?
