Does Wake Interval works when Companion is unloaded and App has closed on device?

I am trying to do a simple POC. One use case is to prompt the user every 1 hour to use the app to send some details. Is this possible with Wake Interval?

The wakeInterval will wake the companion even if the app isn't running on the device, but it won't wake the app on device.

 

Unfortunately, at this time, there isn't a method for waking a device app, or notifying the user, unless it's a clock face which is already running.
