How to control volume?

Hello everyone, I'm a newbie with Fitbit SDK and I was wondering if there is a way to control volume on an app's companion just like the Fitbit media player do, either through the Fitbit API or another method/coding language. I'm building my first app and it only needs this feature to be complete. Thanks.

Sorry, our APIs do not have access to phone or Fitbit device volume controls.

Fine, what about JavaScript/jQuery/Java integrations?
Also, how is that possible if you literally control the smartphone volume using the media player?
