Installing custom clockface on Vera Lite

Hi all,

Sorry if this has been asked before, I googled and searched every version of my question I could think of.

How can I install a custom clockface on my Versa Lite? I developed it using the simulator, everything looks good, but the Lite doesn't have Developer Bridge. Do I need to publish my clockface to the Gallery to be able to install it on my Lite?

Yeah, since the Lite doesn't have wifi Developer Bridge doesn't exist. 

You'll need to publish it each time you want to deploy a new build to your watch- the good news is on submission you'll get a private link *almost* instantaneously.

Ah that's a pity, I'm surprised you can't just load it via the app like you do with normal clock faces. Thanks for your help!

Similar situation - got the private link almost instantly, but when I open it on my phone, it goes to the the Fitbit app, but the "Select" button is greyed out...

Watch: VErsa Lite (latest firmware)

Phone: Android 10 on Pixel 3, latest Fitbit app.

Can you share the package details? Do you have SDK 4.0 selected, and the Versa Lite selected in Build Targets?

That button should only be grayed out if it's incompatible with your device.

As Jon explained on discord - my Versa Lite has not been updated to latest firmware and thus not supporting SDK 4.0, which I used in my clockface. Going to downgrade the SDK until I figure out the firmware update.

Hope this helps anybody having same problem...

Hey. I developed an app for fitbit versa. It works fine in the simulator. I developed the app using fitbit studio. I dont know how to make an fba file to publish it and test it out. Can u please help me

@SaralbabuThis thread is about Versa Lite. Is your clockface for Versa or Versa Lite? It makes a difference to the answer!

I coded the project in Fitbit studio. I want to build it for versa lite.

It's been a while since I used Studio, but I think there's a download or export menu item there somewhere. After you've downloaded the .fba file, you'll need to upload it into a GAM project. That will give you a private link. Browse to that link on the device on which the Fitbit app is installed, and your clockface should then be installed on your watch.
