Is it possible to trigger ECG recordings automatically and is this data available to the API?

Hi there - I am looking into buying a batch of Sense's for a scientific study and would like to know if there's any way to:

(1) automate the ECG recording (to minimise the amount of actions our participants need to take), potentially by building an app - does anyone know if the ECG sensor is available to developers? Or is there an easier way to do this? 

(2) to export this data via the API - this is less of a priority but would be a bonus

I don't know any of the internals, but running an ECG required putting thumb and finger on metal ring around outside for electrical contact, so don't think it could be done without participant action, though perhaps could prompt them when to do that.

Unfortunately, this is not available via an API at this time.

Ah I see, I didn't realise that gesture was used to actually take the reading I thought it was just a trigger. Thanks!
