Hello,
Back in 2019 I've created this clockface:
https://gallery.fitbit.com/details/7ea54b39-cd6b-44e1-a0db-832ddcd5eae3
Last week I've decided to make a simple update: pressing any of the displayed numbers should display the value in big figures in the middle of the screen until the finger is removed from the button.
First review said:
"Due to the fact that your CLOCK does not have the price included in the description, we regretfully inform you that we have declined your submission. Please consult the following link for more information: https://dev.fitbit.com/legal/app-gallery-guidelines/"
The guidelines do not mention price at all! Since my target group is myself I've made it free and resubmitted for a review and got this answer:
"Due to the fact that your CLOCK has functionality issues, we regretfully inform you that we have declined your submission. Please find the issues uncovered during testing below: # the battery information is not visible on the device; # use the right icon and function for AZM; .. also, you don’t have to make the app free, just add the price in the cost section and also in the description. Please consult the following link for more information: https://dev.fitbit.com/legal/app-gallery-guidelines/"
1. The battery information (the charge in percentage) is in the upper left corner as long as it doesn't get covered by the system induced low-battery icon (which can't be controlled). Even then, holding your finger in that area, should display the battery status with big font in the middle of the screen.
2. The icon and function for active minutes is from the time that I was developing the clockface, and active zone minutes is something that I wasn't even aware of until today.
3. Once I've made the clockface free I can't revert it. This is actually something that IS written in the guidelines. (unlike the idea that the price must be written in the description)
4. Since I'm building this for personal purposes, these reviews don't make much sense but even if I want to sell this clockface (which I can't anymore) it is up to users to decide do they like it or not.
5. The gallery app manager and fitbit studio were not available again.
I'm not sure what else I can expect or how to contact the review team and explain the issues since I get these explanations from the no-reply email.
Any constructive suggestions?

In recent watches, holding a finger down on the screen brings up the Clocks (clockface switcher) app, meaning that long-presses can't be used in clockfaces. I'm not sure when this feature was introduced. Could that be what's preventing the reviewer from seeing the large version of the battery status?

I had no idea about this new feature, but no one mentioned it in the reviews. So far this clockface suppose to work only on Versa, Versa Light and Versa 2. Are they on the list?

Hi again @1GR3 - Long press to bring up the Clocks app is only in SDK 6 and does not apply in 4.3 [Versa, Versa Light and Versa 2] fortunately.
1. consider placing the battery level where it doesn't overlap with the system one, you may be able to test this in the simulator.
2. the system returns AZM now, so be careful. Older users, if there are any, will lose that option if you upgrade the clock face
3. you can't switch between paid/Free - to do that create another package.json with a different UUID. One which is free, the other is paid.
4. it is currently a private link which you can use, you don't have to publish it, it can just be downloaded using the private link
5. there have been server issues starting Feb 6th
6. you can reach the App team for questions via their email address

Hi! I’m a user of your click face and I like it a lot but I am baffled as to what the colors and changing sizes of the circles mean. Is it activity over the hour? Minute? There’s no indication as to what it means either in the description or the face itself. I love it but I’m mystified!

Hi Ninabea! I hope it won't disappoint you too much if I admit that the circle sizes are completely random 🙂 The colors are taken from the official guidelines with extrapolated middle hues which are closing the full spectrum - these are actually always the same. I did have in mind tracking activities and hart rate with the circle size but half way trough I realised that actual data would look boring most of the time. This looks more like Jackson Pollock style miniature.
Thank you for the feedback! It means a lot that someone else picked it from the abundance of choices.
Happy running!

Awesome! Glad that I am not missing out on some cool cryptic measuring system. I love this face, it is very elegant looking and I especially like the flashlight function. So thank you for making a cool one!!
