Many of the Clock faces that show weather say they will update more frequently if you input your own Weather API key.
it is winter where I am & it would be so helpful to see on the Ionic if it’s below freezing & rain will create dangerous ice.
Perhaps someone one can help me with this API entry?

Hi @lilbitcounts2,
This is just the general Ionic forum. You'd probably get a better answer posting this on the Web API forum.
Best AnswerThank you Davey.
I’ve since found Clock faces that will show Weather & offer a choice of update frequency no API required.
It it would be quite helpful if they were all this way.
Best AnswerHave not had any response regarding how to obtain & use a weather API.
Perhaps FitBit can address this??
I've moved your post @lilbitcounts2 to the board that I requested you to post in. This is where the teckies hang out.
Best AnswerAPI keys are provided by companies like open weather maps. Go to this link https://openweathermap.org/api, to create an API key, I have done this for my clockfaces, it is free. I can't delete this post for some reason. I have a more detailed one below.

Best AnswerThe API key probably would be entered on the settings page for the app you're using. Check there first.

Best AnswerHi there,
I've just got my ionic and have the same problem, where to put the api key. Could you please tell me what watch face do you use, that gives you weather information without any key?
Best AnswerHow did you get your API KEY into the clock face? There isn't any place to put it, on the settings menu

I use an app on my Versa that requires a key. It wasn’t hard to copy and paste that key. I think I did it within settings, as I recall. Good luck.

I wish I could remember that. I think you go to the watch face you want, and you’ll find a place to enter the key there. Or, the watch face may have contact info for the developer. Email the developer and ask. I think I am using the kumon watch face. The developer is very responsive.
