Working on a new app and have a question about the companion that is running in the background on the phone.
Is it possible for the companion to open the app that is installed on the device? Or, is it possible for the companion to push notifications to the device?

Sorry I have no answer for you but I just realized I posted about something similar the other day at https://community.fitbit.com/t5/SDK-Development/Companion-Need-Device-API-info-on-Wakeup/td-p/315943... . If you happen to figure this out, please post!

I know it must be possible... the FitBit timer app for instance is able to launch itself once it reaches 0. I'll keep digging!

I don't know if this is possible for mere mortals.
it might be some private API, but I don't think there is a public API for that.
For example, I have not found the API for playing audio files, even if there are apps which can play music.
But if you find, please let us know 😉
