Question from clinical researcher regarding FitBit sleep metrics

Hi everyone,

I'm a clinical researcher looking at sleep following surgery. We are working on a manuscript and in our Methods section, we want to describe exactly how FitBit collects sleep info (specifically time asleep, sleep efficiency, stages of sleep, REM sleep, etc.). Is there somewhere I can find this information? I've looked around and cannot seem to find it. Apologies if this is a question that's been asked before. Thank you!

Hi @Jgibian  - Fitbit doesn't divulge it's algorithms.
