Questions about the roadmap

ANSWERED

Hi, after playing with SDK I’ve got few questions which seems to be pretty important for my decision to continue.

1) Are there plans to make debugger in IDE, and when it might happen (year and quarter)?

2) Are there plans to make standalone developer bridge for those who would like to use source control systems like git and more traditional workflow with npm?

3) When canvas support (or an ability to add/remove SVG elements) is coming?

4) Any chance just to support pebble API?

Thanks.

1) Are there plans to make debugger in IDE, and when it might happen (year and quarter)?

Sorry, we don't have a public roadmap at this time, but keep an eye on @fitbitdev and the developer blog for announcements.

2) Are there plans to make standalone developer bridge for those who would like to use source control systems like git and more traditional workflow with npm?

We've initially been focused upon making our web based experience, but local tools aren't out of the question.

3) When canvas support (or an ability to add/remove SVG elements) is coming?

We do have some news in this area, stay tuned.

4) Any chance just to support pebble API?

No, the Pebble Rocky JS APIs are closest to what we're providing, but there won't be any parity.

Thanks for the clarification, I will keep an eye on updates. With the current state of SDK and absence of the roadmap (which means refusal to give any promises), however, I have no other options than return these $300 watches to the seller, which I'm going to do immediately. Until the situation will change. I hope it will.
