How do I re-save the setting type 'Select' in the app\index.js?

I don't think you should use string manipulation to get the value out of the setting. Extract it from the object via the property name.

Thanks Peter - I'm going to re-post this question in the correct section, and I'll try to ask the question more clearly. Although my method is not the 'correct' way, nor elegant, my problem isn't about reading the setting. That part works fine. Thanks
