Real time heart rate via Python application

Hello community,

 

for a student project I'm looking for a small application (possibly python based) that will transfer the heart rate of the fitbit to my computer, cache it and then pass it to a program. The data will then be further processed audiovisually.

 

I have already found a small Python application that does exactly that with a Samsung smartwatch and a Windows PC. However, being a Python beginner, I can't adapt this to Fitbit and Mac.... (https://github.com/loic2665/HeartRateToWeb)
