SDK version considerations

In general an SDK version corresponds to a certain firmware level on a watch.

Using the latest SDK for any given watch will require that the watch on which it is intended to run be at the required level.

If always using the latest level SDK for development it means any watches where the users hasn't, possibly rightly so, upgraded the firmware, the clock or app will not load on that watch.

If your clock or app does not require a feature only available in the latest SDK version it may be preferable to use the oldest SDK functional version. This ensures the greatest compatibility with devices and less frustrations from users that they can't load your clock or app.

Forcing users to install new firmware versions, which may not be as reliable or as fully tested as their current working version, can have some dire consequences.

Therefore in choosing the correct SDK version for development it is good the developer be aware of the consequences and to aim for the greatest compatibility and usability.
