Text flashing white once on update

I've made a clockface but i must have made some mistake.

When i turn my arm or press the button to turn the screen on, every letter in a text element flashes white once. I have one large letter generated from today.getDay() followed by today.adjusted.activeZoneMinutes.total in font-size 80 and 60. When these flash its really noticeable and white. I don't use white anywhere in the theme.

This has never happened to me before, i think there is a lag between the update of the clock and "screen on" but i cant figure out what to do. I want to use the EventListener for "tick" because its my understanding it can save som battery.

Strange. I can't see anything obvious. Have you tried with smaller font sizes?
