I'm a Pebble app developer, and now that Fitbit has borged Pebble,
I'd like to find out if Fitbit is a suitable replacement app platform.
My principal Pebble app is a sailboat racing timer.
It needs to the second accuracy.
Unfortunately, Pebble did not take accuracy seriously,
and I learned the hard way that watch time would often be off
by several seconds, greatly reducing the usefulness of my app.
Can I expect better accuracy from the new Fitbit Ionic watch?
Thank you,
John

Hi John,
Great question.
We think you'll be perfectly happy with the timing accuracy of the device. When the onboard GPS gets a fix, the system clock time will be updated based upon the GPS timestamp.
Thanks,
Jon

Thank you. That sounds ideal.
