Why do I have to destruct on imports?

Maybe I missed this somewhere in the documentation, but why is the default export of the API object not the root object?  Whey do I have import and destruct to get the usable object?

Thanks for the feedback, we're adding the defaults now that the APIs have been finalized. They will be included when we're out of beta.
