clockDisplay (12/24H) setting on Companion?

Is there any way to get the user's 12/24 hour preference on the companion?  It is only documented as part of the device API.

I think you'd have to use messaging or file transfer to pass the value from device to companion. Unfortunately, that can result in a delay in displaying the appropriate thing on your settings page.
