how Fitbit App on mobile synchronize data with Fitbit server( Web dashboard)?

Hello all, I am a student. I  have recently been  interested in Fitbit. I wonder how Fitbit App synchronize data with Fitbit server(web dashboard)?

Does Fitbit server (web dashboard) actively extract data from Fitbit App, or Fitbit App(running on mobile) actively uploads statistics to Fitbit server?

Data from the device gets sent to Fitbit servers via the mobile app. The mobile app, and Fitbit device does retrieve processed data from the server too.

Really thank you for your explanation. So, when Fitbit device , mobile app and Fitbit server show different statistics, and they need sync data, whose data are the final data(displayed data) based on ?

Another question, what is the processed data you mentioned ? I think  mobile app can translate and read it directly (need not any process from Fitbit server ) If  Fitbit device sends syncing data to mobile app. Because mobile app still can read syncing  data from Fitbit device even though we turn off the phone's Wi-Fi connection.
