Is there a way to make the watch face background completely black on a Versa?

[fill="black", gets background pixels partially lit up on Dim and even more with higher brightness]

Even in Settings with Brightness on Max the whole background is almost half lit.

I have a versa but can't say I've noticed this. However, I use mostly background images. Have you tried using a plain black image as a background?
