App reducing all my manually entered distances

Whenever I manually add an exercise the app reduces the distance by 8.6% e.g. if I do a 1000m swim it reduces it to 914m, 1600m turns in to 1463m. Going back in and editing the exercise the same happens. It's bizarre! Why am I not allowed to decide what distance I've done!?

Anybody know of a fix?
