Basic Always On display and 24 hour format

I have the watch set to Always on Display and the settings say if the  clockface does not have an always on display it will default to basic Always on display. The problem is that basic display only shows 24 hour format.

I have made sure my settings in the phone app AND in the online profile say 12 hour. These are both set correctly. Any recommendations?

Hi @mlc9 - default Always On display is 24hr format you can't change that other than selecting an Always On clock face which shows as you want it.

Note using Always On or a long timeout will adversely affect battery life between charges.

Thanks Guy. I was afraid of that. If you want to use always on, that really limits your choice of watch face

@mlc9 I believe the reason behing using only 24h format on AOD clock face is that this format will need less pixels to use. Each non-black pixel has it's cost in the battery life hence the choice.
