Calorie count for steps wildly inaccurate

Hi why am I told that 9000 steps = 900 calories burnt ? Obviously untrue and messing with my diet regime . What on earth has happened to Fitbit ? I’ve had one literally since they went on sale, I’ve cancelled premium and I’m looking for an alternative

I'm not clear on what you are asking.  If you are looking for an explanation of 900 calories for 9000 steps, you would have to give more information such as where you are getting this info, and exactly what this is for: a daily total, a workout summary, . . .?  Perhaps a screen cap would be most helpful.

On the other hand, if you have already decided to leave Fitbit and are looking for and alternative, maybe there is no point in bothering trying for an explanation and you are just venting.

However, I suppose you do know there are ways you could be credited with many steps without actually burning many calories, such as sitting still knitting.

In my experience owning the Sense 2 for about 5 months, nothing is accurate except the time. Heart rate is 15 to 20% off, steps are easily 30% off, the O2 sensor is laughable, calls and notifications don’t connect consistently. In general, this watch is a total fail for anything other than time-related functions.

I’ve done the steps but there’s no way on that day compared to other days over the past  7 years that 9000 steps equals 900 calories burnt , the data is incorrect

I didn't realize you were talking about calories remaining on a food plan.  I figured you were talking about exercise results.  I don't know anything about how to read that page.
