I have a Sense 2 and recently while using the mobile app when I prepare to change the activity name of a detected generic activity, the Fitbit calculated calorie expenditure inexplicably gets reduced in the edit screen. This happens BEFORE I actually change the activity name and both the calorie number and the precise indicator are grayed out, preventing me from manually editing the calorie number. For instance, I performed a kickboxing activity, which Fitbit detected as an Aerobic Workout with 243 calories burned. When I click on the activity to edit the name, it takes me to the edit screen where it now shows (before any edits are made) the calories as 64 calories instead of the calculated 243 calories. I am unable to manually edit the 64 calories back to 243 because it is greyed out and so is the precise indicator. Also, clicking on the reset button has no effect. This issue only recently began as I had edited both activity names and calories before with no issue. Adding a kickboxing activity manually for a time period overlapping the auto detected activity also does not work because when adding a manual activity I am also unable to adjust the calories (everything greyed out). Help!

I have the exact same issue and it drives me nuts. I was happy to see your question as I figured there would be a great answer from someone. Unfortunately nope.

When you edit exercise it looks like the calories don't use your HR anymore but different method (probably based on type of activity, duration and MET). I think what's missing is taking in account intensity. If I try to edit my Bike activity I am granted with more calories when editing (because when tracking cycling my HR isn't accurate and always recorded way too low). Anyway, editing should not be changing existing metrics unless user says so. Definitely, a bug.

I have this issue too. I do a zumba class, drive to another gym and do another class. My fitbit sense 2 thinks I am running, even shows the gps route of me driving. When I try and edit the run activity, the calories count dramatically drops. I thought the whole point was to use my heart rate, movement and duration plus personal stats to work out calories burned. I'm sure my old fitbit from years ago worked out I was doing an aerobics type thing automatically.

I have the same issue but in the stress management app… my body response minutes dramatically decrease when I click into a day. I think it’s a general bug and support is super unhelpful.
