Can't communicate with sense 2 calls

I'm having issues setting up wrist calls with my google pixel 7 pro and my Fitbit sense 2. In the Fitbit app, in the "setup on wrist calls" menu, I can see 3 ticks/check marks. The first 2, labelled "pairing request" and "permissions" are ticked green. The third, however, labelled "Bluetooth pairing" has a brown exclamation mark in place of the green tick with a prompt "tap to fix" below it. When I tap it, the following messages shows up "are you sure? You must pair with sense 2 calls to setup on-wrist calls for your Fitbit device". When I open my Bluetooth settings I see the Fitbit itself is connected. When I click "connect new device", I can see that "sense 2 calls" appears as a option. However, when I click said prompt (in the Bluetooth settings on my phone) I get the message "can't connect with sense 2 calls". I've tried shutting down the Fitbit, restarting the phone and turning Bluetooth on and off. Any suggestions are much appreciated. Thank you all kindly.

Hi @PoRuski when you tap the "Fix it" and see the, "Are you Sure". Tap yes. 

The fitbit app will send a 6 digit code to the Versa 2. Then a message pops up on the phone. With the same code which you have to confirm. 

This is a BT Low Energy device that you will not be able to pair through the phone's Bluetooth settings.

Thank you for your suggestion. When I click "fix it" it just opens a
browser page and takes me to the Fitbit help page on its website. No code
comes up at all unfortunately.

Thank you for your suggestion. When I press "fix it" a browser page opens on my phone and takes me to the Fitbit website help page. I get no code unfortunately. The only code I got was when I paired the phone to the versa 2 in the first place. I noticed that When I press "sync" it also says fail to sync, yet later when I check I see it randomly syncs throughout the day, so I know it's connected. Just this whole thing seems very glitchy to me. Thank you again! Any more suggestions are much appreciated.
