Changing email address associated with Fitbit account

When I transitioned to Google I used my gmail address to login. All my Fitbit related emails are now going to my gmail account which I rarely use and I can't work out how to change those to my yahoo email address.  Fitbit Support advises it is impossible to change my email address for future Fitbit emails. Does anyone have a workaround?  Thanks.

Hello @bm44 and welcome to the Community.  You can't change your email address back to your yahoo account.  But there is a workaround.  You can automatically forward your Gmail to your yahoo account.  Automatically forward Gmail messages to another account

Alternatively, you can setup Yahoo to get the messages from Gmail

I have a new Gmail account because my old one (which I used to set up the Fitbit originally) is full and won't receive new emails. Is it possible to change my existing Fitbit account to associate with the new Gmail? Answers on the forum to similar questions gave instructions that don't match what's on my Fitbit app. I've updated the app but the buttons/options don't match what people are suggesting.
