Hi Everyone.
Looking for some advice. I finally gave in and ordered an Apple Watch but I'm thoroughly underwhelmed even though I LOVE Apple products.
I have been loyal to Fitbit since 2016 but I get frustrated with slow slow improvements.
I love that in Fitbit everything is in one app. I think it's insane buying a £400+ watch and having to download multiple apps to make it more functional.
I wish Fitbit would sync more with Strava instead of GPS activity. I wish there were more exercise modes. I've not been open water swimming but I hear that will kill Versa 3. I'm considering returning the Apple Watch and buying the Fitbit Sense 2 but now I hear the third party apps aren't supported. I only use the barcode to be fair.
I also hate that Fitbit won't let you trade in your previous models.
I mostly run and spin, also have a rowing machine so the rowing and spinning I have to add to Strava manually. I also would love to open water swim and paddle board. So persevere with Apple Watch or stick with Fitbit.
Would love to hear other people's dilema's/thoughts...

Fitbit sense 2 is really useless. It doesnt fall under smartwatches category at all. It just a tracker with a big screen.
1.Most of the apps from the previous generation are gone.
2.No wifi support
3.No on demand spo2 or skin tempreature support
4.No music controls and no option to store music as well.
5. Inaccurate HR and steps measurements multiple times.
6. No on wrist calls(as of now)
I still have my apple watch 3 and i think its still better than sense 2. Only positive thing about the sense 2 is battery life as compared to apple watches.
If you are still intrested in buying a fitbit better buy charge 5. Its best value for money .
Cheers!

The Versa 3 is supposed to be water-resistant so it should be fine to go swimming with it.
The Sense 2 and Versa 4 are more downgrade than upgrade. I'd only consider them if there's a killer deal (like the $80 Sense 2 on Amazon recently) AND if I'm okay with not having the features that were removed (please do Google them so you won't regret; there's been quite a bit of noise made about this). I heard 20 new exercise modes were added to Sense 2 / Versa 4 but you ought to check the list for yourself to see if it covers what you wanna do. The Charge 5 isn't much of an upgrade from your Versa 3 if you ask me. If your Versa 3 is working just fine I say stick with it.
Unless you really want something new.... in that case is there a reason you haven't considered Garmin? I understand it works with Strava. It's one-app-for-everything too and it works with both iOS and Android. Though do note Garmin's sleep tracking isn't as good, if that's important to you.

Stay away from the sense 2 it's a downgrade from your versa 3. I think the above posts are pretty clear why.

I have a Versa 4. Been with Fitbit about 5+ years. I too do not like Apple watches. I've tried 2-3 times and returned. I bought a sense 2 on release day and returned it shortly thereafter. The Versa 3 is Far Superior to the Sense 2 and Versa 4 as of today.
