Defective Charger Spring-loaded Pins for Sense or Sense 2

My Sense 2 stopped charging, so I spent about 3 hours researching and trying all the different fixes.

Nobody mentioned that the charger cord could be defective. I found one person in this community who realized that the pins had retracted and were not in contact with the Sense.  All it takes is one defective pin or, more accurately, the spring that pushes the pin to the contact position, and the charger will not work.  The pins are spring-loaded, and 2 of my pins were not making contact with the charger.

It is important to check the pins first to see if they are making contact with the Sense before spending time trying to go through the other "fixes."

Yes, both my wife and her mom had this problem. We couldn't get 1 pin on each of their chargers to come up. Both had to buy new chargers. Mine so far is still OK.

It sad that all these years that the original Sense has this problem that they still can't fix the charger properly with Sense 2.

Update:

I contacted support and they sent out a new charger. it was a hassle-free experience. In the meantime, I bought a 2 pack of chargers, so I don't get caught again without one.  I really enjoy my device and check it many times a day to see how I am doing on my steps.
