ECG app for Sense 2

The ECG app is still not available in Slovenia, which is EU member state. As I could see, it is not available also in some other EU countries and this is really odd.I have bought Sense 2 just because of this app!!  Can Fitbit explain why this discrepancy still exists in October 2023?

Features like SPo2 and ECG are not approved by the EMA, but at national level.

But I see, however, that an ECG application is available in Slovenia for all Apple Watch (i-phone) and Samsung Galaxy Watch models. How can you explain that? Is this Fitbit's responsibility or not?

Another problem: My daughter has a Charge 5 purchased in December 2022 that stopped working two weeks ago after an update. The store where it was purchased will not accept it because Fitbit has revoked that store's authority to pick up the device and send it in for service. Weird, huh?

It is a good question whether it is Fitbit, or the regulatory authorities in Slovenia. ECG was approved by both EMA and CE in September 2020, and became available in 15 European countries within a brief time. The other countries made their own requirements in addition. I mean I got access (I am in Norway) in the winter/spring of 2021. The Norwegian authorities' additional requirement was software in Norwegian because it is a health-related function. I do not know anything about any requirements that the Slovenian regulatory authorities may have made.

Your Charge 5

Norway is not an EU member, so I am not certain about consumer rights in the EU. You have a two-year warranty, right? In that case, make a claim via Fitbit customer service. They will certainly try to say no. If they do refer to EU legislation.

thank you for reply. I followed your instruction and have sent a claim via Fitbit customer service for Charge 5. I have sent also a question regarding ECG app in Slovenia. Let's see what will be their reply. Will let you know. Regards
