ECG app not showing up on Sense 2

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I have reloaded the ecg app to my phone at least three times.

I have checked to see if the ap needs an update...it doesn't.

I have restarted the watch.

The icon for taking an ecg showed up once and when I went back to set a second reading the next day, no icon on my fitbit.

Three days old and this thing is headed for a bad ending.

How do I fix this?  The only reason I bought this thing was to help me keep track of cardiac activity.

HELP!

Welcome to the Community, @jacksheart.

Thanks for the details provided and the steps tried prior to posting. I understand your point of view and I'm sorry for this inconvenience. To look into this, could you confirm if you're located in a supported country? Also, may I know the model and OS version of your phone?

In the meantime, let's try reconnecting your watch to the Fitbit app by doing the following:

  1. Forget your Sense 2 from the Bluetooth settings.
  2. Reboot your phone and restart your watch.
  3. Open the Fitbit app, tap your profile picture > Set Up a Device.
  4. Select your Sense 2, tap Replace Device and follow the on-screen instructions.
  5. Once that it's done, check if the ECG app permissions are enabled and make sure the assessment is completed. For more details, see this help article.

Actually, and I am embarrassed to say this, my 9 year old grandson came
over yesterday afternoon. It took about three minutes to figure out what
was wrong and he took care of it! Thanks.

My grandson, age 11, came over and corrected our cable TV set-up in about 30 seconds flat. I have great hope for his generation.  🙂

Hi, I've recently bought a sense 2 for my husband, expressly so he could use the ECG feature. I've been through the steps multiple times and on one occassion the ECG icon was visible on the watch screen but gone again the next day. According to the app, it's installed. I followed the steps again just now but no icon. It's an iPhone 6 with software version 15.7.7  Any thoughts?

Hi Ronda-62,

I'm not sure I understand your question, but here goes.

For me, I restarted the watch. You do that by holding down the left
button. The screen will go dark and then the fitbit logo will come on. As
I recall, this is about ten seconds. Make sure your phone device is within
2'.

Once your fully restarted, simply click the left button one time. The ECG
logo should appear. Clicking the ECG logo once should activate the ECG app.

On your iPhone, assuming the app acts as it does on an android, activate
the app. Once it opens, simply pull the page down from the top and it
should sync your watch and the device.

Let me know how it turns out.

I've done all of that multiple times. I've started the watch, uninstalled the app, reinstalled the app. Checked via the app that the ECG app is installed. It is. But it doesn't show up on the watch screen.

Not sure then. Try a left click, then scroll up. If the ECG app is on the
watch, you WILL see the icon for it there and he can take an ECG from there.

He can find the ECG graph results by clicking the "Discover" icon at the
bottom of the phone screen. Scroll down to "Assessments & Reports" and
then "Heart Rhythm Assessment". Just follow the "PDF" directions to
download a copy.

The ECG app is installed on the phone but does not show up on the watch. Time to replace the watch, it's clearly faulty.

Hi it says United Kingdom it is available. I live in the isle of man which is part of the UK and it is not showing up on my app or watch could you assist please?

I'm not sure I can help with this one Laura2587. If it isn't showing up on
either your device or your watch, it may be a different issue.

You may have already done this, but for your device, I would uninstall and
re-install the app. Once you've done that, with your watch near by, see if
the device and the watch will sync up.

For your watch, click the left button once, and scroll down to "All apps".
The "ECG" tab should be there.

Let us know.

@Laura2587 Welcome to the forums. @jacksheart Thanks for helping our new member.

@Laura2587 Thanks for joining this thread and providing us with that information. As you may know, the ECG app is available for the Sense, Sense 2 and Charge 5 in select countries. In addition to the suggestions shared above, please make sure the permissions for this app are enabled, and follow the steps described here to generate an ECG reading.
