Hi @Brenj60, welcome to the Fitbit Community! It's great to have you here!
Let me help you with your ECG reading. I appreciate the research you have already done to resolve this issue.
In order to better understand the source of the issue please refer to the steps from our help article What is the Fitbit ECG app? below the section "How do I use the Fitbit ECG app?" and explain in detail in which steps you find trouble. I appreciate your time in this procedure.
have a great day!

@DavidFitbit I have a problem with the ECG app, too. It used to work fine but recently it has no response. It shower the “Put the index finger and thumb on the glass corners.” However, when I tried that, it didn’t give any response at all. Are some of the sensors not working? Thanks.

Hi @asiayeah, thank you for your explanation. I'm glad to help you with the ECG reading of your Sense 2 that seems to be failling lately.
If you have already taken some readings and now the sensors don't seem to detect your touch, i suggest that you first restart your device. To do so, press and hold the button for 10 seconds until the Fitbit logo appears on the screen, and then release the button.
Let me know if this suggestion hasn't resolved the issue so i can further investigate. Have a nice day!

I have this exact same issue. ECG worked fine and then just stopped, doesn’t get past the put your index fingers bit. I have contacted Fitbit 5 times now. They say they are looking into it, it’s been a month and no I don’t think they are doing anything!

The reset doesn’t seem to help.
I find the corner contact points don’t seem to work as sensitive as before. I actually have to slide my fingers along the rim until it starts to work. My Sense 2 is 2+ years old so I assume its days are counting.

Nor is mine (AGAIN). It used to work fine & now I just get an error message to open the app which doesn't do anything.
I've gone through all the same troubleshooting as I did last year when this happened. I even spoke to someone at Google the other day, who was less than unhelpful. We basically did everything I had already done. But he couldn't wait 2 mins for the app to download & reinstall. I asked several times for him to stay on the line so I could test, but he assured me it would be fine & hung up.
It gave the blue corners, but wouldn't take a reading & then went back to the error 🙄.
I have premium, though this app is one that is free and comes as standard. It's infuriating that everytime there's an update this happens again.
Fitbit/Google. Can you please fix ASAP!

They won’t fix it! Honestly I’ve contacted them 8 times and they continuously say they are looking into it. They are a complete joke! they just don’t care one bit. I suffer from a heart murmur and that is why I chose the watch for the ecg feature…they don’t care it doesn’t work and just want me to go away! Good luck with getting yours fixed!
