Extending pause - Sense 2

I always use the auto detect for walking, today I decided to try out the walk function on my watch,  I didn't realize until the end of my walk, it stopped recording 20 minutes into a 40 minute walk.  I assume it was due to my inactivity while waiting for the light to change at a busy intersection.  My question is, is there a way to extend the inactive time period, to allow for waiting for light changes, or turn it off altogether?  I just want to set it and forget and not be fiddling with my watch while I'm keeping an eye on the lights and traffic.

Hi @Poodlemama - when you press the button, choose exercise and walk, you can swipe up and set options there.

If you turn off auto detect and GPS etc. the app will show you your walk once it's completed, if it last longer  than the app auto detect time for walking.

Thanks Guy!

Up until now, I haven't been interested in using the walk function on my Sense 2, auto detect has been good enough.  I recently starting using trekking poles, my steps are being counted but the walk itself is not being detected, so I can't compare my walks with and without the poles. I would like to see how much of an impact the poles are making, which is what prompted me to try to make use of this function.

@Poodlemama - your exercise should show in the Fitbit App, if long enough.

It will show if the Fitbit App detects an activity it recognises (certainly walk without poles).

Another way to ensure a comparison is to actually start a walk manually but before actually beginning swipe up and turn of the GPS and auto pause and make the settings how you want them.

When you finish end the walk and the full walk should show in the Fitbit App once the watch is synced a while later, to give it time to register.
