I've spoken with two different tech people at Fitbit and they have told me that there is no way at this point to secure your Fitbit Smartwatch when you take it off. You should be able to password protect your watch so that when you take it off it can't be accessed by anyone else. You would have to enter your password in order to unlock your watch when you go to put it back on. I think this is a flaw and the design, many other smart watches have this password protection and enables you to secure your device so that people can't access your text messages, emails and other personal information. It seems like such an easy thing to do and Fitbit has overlooked it in their design. This should be added to the next upgrade. From what they've told me your watch isn't even secure if you enable your Google wallet. Someone could take your watch and make purchases if they really wanted to.

Hi there, @Mike5150 Welcome to the forums, I'm glad to see you posting here.
Thanks for letting me know about your suggestion of locking your Sense 2 when not wearing it.
The best you can do is to post this in the Product Feedback board, since this section is regularly monitored by the team of developers. Make sure to post your idea including as many details as possible.

Did you get any more feedback on this issue? I'm having the same issue but thought I came close to a work around based on logic.
In the app the "device lock" is not there. But I've read that either personal or using Google wallet are the two options. Now seeing that Google wallet is not a feature in my region (I'm not in USA), I decided to try a VPN that put my phone in USA. Then the "device lock" appears like magic. The only option red wallet and no personal pin was available .
Choosing wallet for testing purposes, I was able to enter Pin and then it asked for a credit card to add to wallet, since my credit card is not recognised by wallet. ( Due to region) , it failed
So by best is this is a regional feature.
I don't know if Fitbit has any feedback on this
