Flashing Alarm

I get that when the alarm (or timer) goes off the watch flashes but is there a way to get it to stop flashing to dismiss/snooze it?  I find it extremely difficult to dismiss the alarm on the flashing screen. I struggle every morning to dismiss the alarm and it’s a very frustrating way to start the morning. I need the screen to stop flashing!

I agree. I find it irritating to try and tap the on-screen buttons to snooze or dismiss the alarm ... and I use alarms often for different things, and I need to snooze/dismiss equally, so I'm not interesting in having a side button shortcut.  I find I have to just tap quickly and repeatedly over where I think the right button is and hope it catches it.  This is a terrible user experience. Don't flash the screen... or if it's needed for hearing impaired people, have the snooze/dismiss buttons always displayed when the alarm goes off and flash the top half of the display.  I've tried different clock faces and that doesn't make any difference.

Hi @Briefyleigh - normally pressing the button will snooze it. If you decide to dismiss it, go to the Alarms and you should be ale to do so.

Pressing the button is impossible because the entire screen keeps flashing. So you are stuck trying to press the button for quite awhile before it registers that you clicked snooze or the check button. It's hard to press a touch screen button while the screen flashes on and off.

Hi @kmbair13 - if the watch is syncing try changing the clock face, also try charging and then press the button to restart. Charging it may break the loop.

I don’t believe you understand the issue we are having. It’s the way the alarm works and not the clock face. The watch flashes when the alarm is going off and it’s difficult and frustrating to press a flashing button.

@Briefyleigh - did you restart your watch? Or do you have some special setting or old firmware?

My watch works fine for Alarms.

I believe what Guy_ is suggesting is to push the side button on the watch to snooze the alarm. This is what I do to stop it since I can never managed to hit the checkmark when I'm half asleep

Hi @KMant - if you are using the Alarms app [press button and select Alarms] it shouldn't flash but display the following screen with the 2 options clearly marked.

The problem with pressing the button is it snoozes it and then when you return to the Alarms app you only have the option to delete it, you can't unsnooze it or adjust it and set another time for it to go off.

Also @Briefyleigh @kmbair13

If it isn't behaving like that [not flashing], restart the watch and also check the firmware is at the latest level What's changed in the latest Fitbit device update?
