Google Wallet Pay just doesn't work

Hi everyone,

I'm dumbfounded, I got a brand new Sense 2; out of the box latest firmware upgrade. Wanted to configure NFC pay and switched to Google Wallet since I already have one configured with my card - maybe that was my mistake. All went fine, no errors. However, at the NFC point-of-sale terminal; I get error - this card can not be used, please insert chip card into the reader? LOL

It's the same exact card which is also registered with my iPhone using Apple Pay and works just fine and has working fine for years with zillion merchants? Is Google Wallet pay just broken on Sense 2?

In addition to what @AndreaFitbit says, for some reason some banks do not support Google Wallet on smartwatches, only phones. That was the reason in my case I guess my bank got a lot of complaints, Wallet for Smartwatches was implemented in january 2023. I recommend you contact your bank and ask them 🙂

Since the card got setup with Google pay, and failed to work at the terminal. 

Your bank has a record of this failure, my suggestion is to check your banks app, or to contact the bank. They may have some insight as to why the failure.

@Andrea - Thank you for the kind response. Yes my bank is supported, if it wasn't I wouldn't be able to add my Visa card. May I ask - is there at least ONE evidence supported use case where someone can confirm by means of direct evidence that Sense 2 with Google Pay actually works? If yes who's the merchant where such verification was evidenced at? Thank you

LokeAa are you able to confirm that Google Pay works with your Sense 2? If yes may I kindly ask: which merchant can you confirm success with?

Yes, Google Wallket works with my Sense 2, in Norway.
