It seems like Google Wallet is rolling out to Sense 2 and Versa 4 today! Has anyone got it?

Hi everyone, and welcome to our new members.
I've merged some of your posts so we can keep the forums organized. Thanks for the details provided, I'm happy some of you've been able to install the firmware update on your Sense 2. As you noticed, with this update the Google Wallet app is now available in supported countries or regions. Please note once you move over to Google Wallet, you can’t go back to Fitbit Pay.
If you want to learn more about this feature, check the following articles:
I truly appreciate your feedback and I'm sorry for any inconveniences that you may have experienced. We'll keep working to make Fitbit more useful for all of you.
Best Answer"The Google Maps app needs to be open on your Fitbit device in order to receive turn by turn directions. Google Maps will not work if other apps are running" - and possibility of navigating during cycling or running goes out the window. Kind of expected. Also, as we suspected, there are only directions without actual map. I'm wondering whether Google/Fitbit has ever seen how advanced in-watch navigation is on Garmin or Polar. Probably not, seeing what they came up with.
@t.parker To be fair, it does say "At the end of your navigation, you’ll see asummary of your stats that includes steps, Active Zone Minutes, heart rate, and more during your route.".
Also, "The interactive on-screen view and turn-by-turn directions on your smartwatch will easily guide you to wherever you’re headed". (Italics mine)
These statements suggest there does seem to be the possibility of
We'd have to give it an actual try to see how useful it actually is.
Anyway, Google Wallet is the real highlight of this update in my opinion. Maps requires your phone with you, which, when I'm in an unfamiliar place, I'd rather have all the info I could see/get on my bigger-screen phone anyway.
Credit where it's due; kudos to Fitbit. But this doesn't make up for the neutering of the latest generation devices - make no mistake.
In app notification: 'update available for Sense 2, there is a firmware-update available for your Sense 2!'.
Always nice to have an update without any info on the forum 😅
according to the fitbit app there is no update and i am using the most updated version. 3.70 (37020001)
there is no google wallet or maps.
i just got my fitbit sense 2 the other day and am completely flabbergasted that google assistant is not a thing and Alexa is the only option.
i am 200% disappointed that no google services are compatible with my 400 dollar watch. Also completely boggled that, at this price point, the strap is a flimsy piece of plastic and the speaker sounds like a poorly tuned radio.
Two days in and I am already in love with all the core fitbit software features, but really was not expecting zero google services and knockoff quality hardware.
First things I noticed:
+ Wrist call option implemented
+ I can turn off my screen covering it with my hand (I had to wait set time before).
> fixed! ECG app removed from Sense 2 and unable to reinstall (still visible in Fitbit app but installing does not work).
Sense 2 firmware: 60.20001.184.52
Fitbit app version: 3.71
I hope it's a bug not a removed feature 😊
Best AnswerThanks!
I'm on firmware 60.20001.184.52
Haven't had a chance to test it out yet but I got it configured earlier this evening.
Got the firmware update yesterday, updated my Sense 2, waited for an app update, updated that, and then saw the option to switch to Google Wallet today (after clicking the Wallet icon).

@rajat1048 there is still no official announcement on this forum but I'm guessing this update will be incremental. As it will reach a small percentage of users first, and and they will begin a broader rollout as soon as all issues are ironed out. I know from earlier updates it could take a month before everyone had it.
Another important thing to remember:
"Once you move over to Google Wallet, you can’t go back to Fitbit Pay. Your cards in Fitbit Pay are deleted."
If I move to Google Wallet, can I go back to Fitbit Pay?
