It seems like Google Wallet is rolling out to Sense 2 and Versa 4 today! Has anyone got it?

@TLinkins somebody tried that and didn't work:

@t.parker Thanks for the heads-up. However it doesn't say if that person also deleted and created a new Fitbit account. I would also suggest "factory resetting" your Google Wallet information. https://support.google.com/googlepay/answer/7643930?hl=en

This is kind of overkill. I'd rather say bye to the feature 🤣

I spoke to Fitbit support and this won't work. They suggested returning the watch and getting a new one with the old firmware and then not to upgrade and continue using Fitbit pay.
The watch advertises that it has Google Wallet but it appears it has limited capabilities vs. the Google wallet on phone - misleading to say the least!

Did they say "not to upgrade"? It does not force you to changefromFitbitpaytoGooglePay. Furthermore, when an update has been released ,it will be updated to the newest firmware build automatically when you perform a factory reset.

@LokeAa it doesn't force user to use Wallet but once you open an app you will see only Google Wallet option. In other words, the FitbitPay is gone unless user has it still working and didn't convert.

I upgraded to the Google Wallet from Fitbit Pay - so there's no going back on this watch. Only solution is to return and get one with the old firmware and stay on Fitbit Pay that worked for me

It gives you several warnings "are you sure"....I'm 99% sure Fitbit Pay will be the defaklt paypent app if you perform a factory reset. If not they would not say you can keep Fitbit Pay. Fitbit Pay users might have to factory reset for some other reason, and factory reset is the same for all Sense 2 users.

@LokeAa some users tried factory reset and that didn't help. I believe it's because the watch gets updated on setup and latest app comes with Wallet option as default. I never had FitbitPay and that tile disappeared from the app after watch and app updated.

Sounds very strange. Many do not know the difference between reset and factory reset. Factory reset erases the devices memory. It removes apps, app settings, stored data, personal information, credit and debit cards, saved settings. it is performed on the device, and does not require the app to be running, meaning no data is sent during the process. I doubt it but, let us say the app can pick up "wallet" was installed . the workaroond would be to clear cache and stored data before uninstalling the app, and then perform a factory reset.

Deleted the Sense 2 in the phone app, closed app and cleared cache, factory reset sense 2 and set up as a new device which auto updated to latest firmware and back to Google wallet - no option for Fitbit pay

Did you uninstall the app?

Did it all over again - unpair Fitbit, delete app on phone, forget device in Bluetooth.
Factory reset watch
Watch restart, download phone app and follow steps
Back to Google wallet with no option for Fitbit pay
Cannot add cards to the Google Wallet on Fitbit app - it appears the update was rolled out prematurely - it should still say "coming soon"

@LokeAa just for a sake of argument I did factory reset and reinstalled app on the phone. Conclusion: bye bye FitbitPay.

Hi everyone, and welcome to our new members.
I've merged some of your posts so we can keep the forums organized. Thanks for the details provided, I'm happy some of you've been able to install the firmware update on your Sense 2. As you noticed, with this update the Google Wallet app is now available in supported countries or regions. Please note once you move over to Google Wallet, you can’t go back to Fitbit Pay.
If you want to learn more about this feature, check the following articles:
I truly appreciate your feedback and I'm sorry for any inconveniences that you may have experienced. We'll keep working to make Fitbit more useful for all of you.

ty for the links and such.
what would be really nice is if you push an update, we all get it.
I am in Canada, where Google Wallet works great. No update is available to me yet. i even tried doing a factory reset and full reinstall of the fitbit app, to no avail.
People in other regions where google wallet is not supported, however, have gotten to update.
:confused

Same, I just got the Sense 2 and I'm in Canada. Only has Fitbit Pay which I still haven't figured out how to add a credit card, tried Amex, PC, and Canadian Tire without any success.

Hi Lizzy,
I do have a question about setting up my Google wallet in the Fitbit app.
I have installed the Google Wallet app on my android phone and my bank supports google wallet so that works.
But if open up the Fitbit app I can only scan my debit card with NFC or add the numbers of my debit/credit card number.
My question is why is there no connection possible between the Fitbit app and Google wallet app on my phone?
My bank has given me a virtual card additional to my regular debit card so my regular card will not work
Also, I cannot see the card number in the Google wallet or in the app from my bank.
It would have been a lot easier if you the Fibit app and the Google wallet app had a connection, you both are from Google so I do not understand why this was not implemented.
