It seems like Google Wallet is rolling out to Sense 2 and Versa 4 today! Has anyone got it?

Anyone with an older device that also has Sense 2, and went to Google Wallet, if you unpair and pair older device do you retain Google Wallet or revert back to Fitbit Pay?
Trying to find out if this a profile change or application change?
Best AnswerThis is ridiculous! I too upgraded so I could use my Google Wallet with my new Fitbit and got greeted with this dysfunction. Google and Fitbit merging seems to have made matters worse.

Hi everyone, and a warm welcome to the new members.
I've merged some of your posts to keep the forums organized. Thanks for the information, and the steps tried on your own. Let me share the Sense 2 Firmware Update 1.184.52, which allows you to use Google Wallet on your wrist, is already available to all our members. To learn more about this feature and its requirements, I'd suggest these articles:
As mentioned before, please note you won't be able to go back to Fitbit Pay once you move over to Google Wallet. I'm sorry if this caused any inconvenience, and thanks again for your feedback. We'll make sure to keep working on our devices in order to improve the experience with them.

Hello Lizzy - The issue is that Google Wallet does not match the functionality of Fitbit Pay - cards that worked with Fitbit Pay do not works with Google Wallet - when is that getting fixed?
@Jdsenter I have a Versa SE, so deleted the Sense 2 and set up the Versa again - Fitbit Phone app went back to Fitbit Pay as the default and I could set up my card seamlessly. Then unpaired Versa and switched back to the Sense 2 and the Fitbit Phone app switched back to Google Wallet as the default and could not set up the card as before. Clearly this is a Fitbit - Google issue that they don't want to own!!
Best AnswerIn terms of consolidating issues on Google Wallet on fitbit, I also want to add the Fitbit mobile app have issues on setting up Google Wallet on some Android devices:
Sense 2 not letting me set a PIN for Google Wallet - Fitbit Community
If fitbit Pay works for you, I don't really think it's a good idea to switch to Google Wallet at all.
@sgjp interesting, so it stays with the device, so if you create a new profile and associate that Sense 2 does it stay on Google Wallet (on the Sense 2 assume Versa 4 as well) or does it revert to Fitbit Pay
So we know on the same account once you switch you are locked to Google Wallet, and if you switch to a legacy device you revert to Fitbit pay.
Again I am trying to understand the resell market, if someone uses a Sense 2, sells it to another of gifts it to someone is it locked, or is it per the profile and device?
Seems a factory reset should revert the device back to factory but that seems that Google doesn't revert the profile and the device must lock with your serial number?
Google has always had a issue when it comes to factory reset, by default all Google devices are bootloader unlocked, but once you get a Verizon branded device, Verizon locks the bootloader (via the SIM card) and a factory reset does not revert to bootloader unlocked.
Best Answer@alakai14 Thanks so we know that for a new account using a Sense 2 or Versa 4, you will default to Fitbit Pay. Once converted to Google Wallet, any repairing the device to your account will keep Google Wallet.
If one gifts/sells the device the user will either default to Fitbit Pay, or if they already converted to Google Wallet (using a previous device) they will stay on Google Wallet.
So it is a profile/newer device setting.
@sgjp It took them 3 months to release Google Wallet, so I assume them working with the banks to add more cards will take way more time.
Seems Google Pay (Wallet on Android) and Google Wallet on Fitbit are vastly different, and Fitbit Pay is the step child.
Best AnswerI see many people having issues when moving from fitbit pay to google wallet.
I never used fitbit pay but I am getting this error:
“Sorry there was a problem migrating your cards.“
I never used fitbit pay, there’s nothing to migrate!!!
Anyone faced this issue??
anyone has a Tip?

Google wallet is one of the important features for me to buy sense2. The cards that support on my phone not supporting on google wallet for sense2 😒
Not even supporting loyality and git cards also
I am using hsbc bank card. That is not supporting in watch but that's my default catd on phone
Is this google wallet or renaming fitbipay to google wallet
This doesn't make any sense for upgraded sense2

Best AnswerI got it. I'm in Canada and because i was already using google wallet with my phone with all of my cards, I thought it would be better than fitbit pay (that supported only one of my card and no debit at all). It's not. I was only able to activate the same card i used on Fitbit pay. Big disappointment really. Not sure why i switched as I am not going to use my watch to pay because of that. Hopefully more support will come soon but I feel like I overpaid for my device giving it's lacking alot of the original sense's feature and doesn't improve the functionality that is left.
I was successfully using Fitbit pay with my Sense 2 on my iPhone12. I saw the "up grade" to switch to Google wallet and decided to try it. I have the same exact credit card that I was using with Fitbit Pay in my Google wallet. When I go to add that card to my tracker with google wallet, it gives me an error that it cannot load the card. I have tried to delete the app, restart the phone and reinstall the app, but nothing seems to work. I contacted customer support and they said they would send me an email to explain how to fix it because the solution was long, but the email never came...
Just got mine today and same problem. Will not except any of my credit cards. If I can’t get it to work by tomorrow I will send it back and get the Apple Watch.

Best AnswerIs there going to be expanded bank functionality for Google Wallet?
Updating the app and losing access to cards that worked before isn't really a great look. My regret for my Sense 2 purchase is immense.
I regretted buying sense 2 as christmas gift for my wife as well.
google wallet just ain't working. We chatted with the fitbit cso and explain the google wallet issue, and they gave different answers and the solutions (or lack of) are not working at all...
Best AnswerGreat! So Google Wallet on fitbit is a different Google Wallet, and some cards working on Google Wallet doesn't work on Google Wallet if it's running on Sense 2.
It's a joke, isn't it?
